Our Story

Established in early 2018, Blur Barbershop began in an 88 degree garage with an old styling chair positioned under a utility light in North Haven, CT. Blur is a reference to a flawless fade. When a fade is "blurry," it means there are no distinctive lines present in a haircut leaving only a seamless transition from short length to long length.

From the garage, Blur Barbershop relocated to a small second story rental space with only two barber chairs on Washington Ave in North Haven. That space was rapidly outgrown as the influx of business increased over time. Walk-ins were waiting in the hallway of the unit, and it became apparent that expanding the business was the only viable option.

2019 brought Blur Barbershop to its current location on State St in North Haven across the street from Fleetpride. Holding 6 barber chairs, Blur grew its barber family and clientele slowly but surely. The pandemic presented many challenges to the new business, but Blur prevailed through it all and came out stronger than ever before.

Our doors are open to everyone, and it is of our utmost priority to maintain a relaxing and respectful environment for all of our guests. We hope to see you soon!
